The dairy industry is difficult to topple. Many countries depend on their respective dairy industry.

All points are total hogwash. We Hindus consider cow as equivalent to our mother and worship her. When a child can’t be breast-fed any more; he takes on to cow milk. Cow’s dung is a fertiliser in our fileds. Cows calf are used as bullocks to plough the field. Many prescribe cow urine as medicine to bring glow to the skin and as treatment to many gastronomical diseases. We in our schools write essays on cow. She is useful to us.

No one bothers for PETA in India. People simply ignore their volunteers or mock at them. Reason is simple:-
Hindus as it is care and worship all kinds of animals, plants, etc. A community called bishnoi in Rajasthan gives their own life but saves animals. Their women even feed breast milk to deer and other such animals. They are the ones who file cases against animal shooters and give evidence in court to punish the culprits.
Muslim, Christian, Sikh and other meat eater communities don’t bother about PETA at all. They feel that they are doing yeomen service to the almighty by balancing birth and death by killing and eating nourishing food.
Jain, a non violent sect of Hinduism are strict vegetarian. Most of them don’t eat after sunset due to the belief that an invisible insect (bacteria) may go into their mouth.

COW is indeed useful to us in MANY ... delicious ways!
besides watching them in their grazing reverie is relaxing and feels nice to know atleast someone(cow) is happy with what one gets(hay, or yesterdays garbage) in the world!

I believe PETA pretty much has no clue what they are talking about. They base a lot of their thought on things that logically cant happen such as... That animals shouldnt be kept for pets of for food. Ok so lets let all of the dairy cows loose and let them swell up with mastitis and die (yes mastitis if not taken care of quick enough or properly can kill a cow) Or lets not bred the cows so that eventually the cow goes extint makes sence? Milk is in almost all baked goods. PETA makes it look like the farmer and hired hands are lazy but my father and I work from 3am till 8pm call me lazy.I live on a farm. The only time we hit a cow is when they are endangering us or another animal and we say back up. I love our cows they are amazing animals. They are pets that can make you a living.
