About three years back a particularly thoughtful female Filipino blogger who went by the name The Biatch Goddess created quite a sensation in the blogosphere with a post titled - Wanted Boyfriend (or something like that).
From then, I knew that blogging was big in the Philippines.

With so many blogs around the world, perhaps running into a few hundred millions, it is difficult to carve out a substantial audience for a new blog these days. Only the established blogs and recognized bloggers are gaining from blogging.

Traffic is the name of the game in the blogosphere, I guess.
You’re rght, the challenge is how to come up to the top of the heap somehow.
I guess, if the blog is interesting, catchy, and mighty useful or entertaining, it has a chance for some good attention.

I just read the original article and I think it is wonderful. Philippine people are the most sociable people. Even ten years back from now, I remember the best people to chat to in chatrooms were from Philippines.

that means that 7 out of 10 Philippine’s population spends the better part of there days on the net,
what a people?
Am sure this helps reduce the gap of ignorance because many people access information.
