Why do people take such things so seriously! This just a work of fiction meant for entertainment! You need vamps and villains in serials and they have to fall in some ethnic group or other!

Agree with u Jitaditya. I am sure people in their right minds would not really believe that working- Indian women are all scheming girls?!!. Then they just need to watch Ekta Kapoor’s sas-bahu Indian serials and think that all Indian families are like this!!

Those ekta serials are another step towards stereotyping. Sadly enough they are also taken seriously! Heard a lot of elderly women were so ”moved” by those serials that they wanted such brides for the sons!!...Poor guys!!

Well, somewhere I have read that all men think alike and so do all women. Given a simple yes/no question, if one woman answers it in yes, you can be 100% sure that the rest women will say yes too..
This applies for the men too. I guess this is why Ekta Kapoor has been a hit with the women.
I wonder why we can’t find a man who can make 1000s of episodes of a soap which could really bring out the men’s point of view on TV.
Then we men will also be able to glue to their TV sets and wait eagerly for their favorite serials....Just wonder, Ekta Kapoor’s soaps having a competition from someone else. The TRPs would sky rocket.

LOL Kumar! I can’t imagine long lingering and circuitous complicated sordid plots about men. They’re kinda boring after a while, you know... :):):)
