Illegal Filipino workers expelled from Malaysia’s Sabah state have been severely beaten by police, a fact-finding body said Saturday.
Thousands of Filipinos, including women and children, remained in Malaysian detention centers ”and suffering from inhumane conditions,” said Luzviminda Ilagan, a member of the Philippines House of Representatives and of the Fact-Finding Committee on Sabah Deportees.

The plight of migrant workers from developing countries is really deplorable. There should be more international laws that target the condition and the issues more than catering to the needs of individual countries.
