You saw a good part, but in round seven, de la Houa took a beating, he kept getting cornered..God so bad, that in the end, Pacman would corner him, but would no longer release his true stregnth, he would give one pr two good hooks, or just a few jabs, STOP, and WALK to the center of the ring to allow de la Hoya to recover and ”gracefully” come back into the fight..
I am impressed however, that Pacman drew no blood. In the first round he got some good punches which left de la Hoya pretty swollen...Pacman knows how to work those wounds, which he did with a vengence. de la Hoya was left horribly swollen and black and blue, but relativly intact..
I kind of think this was the last round for de la Hoya, I think he may retire from the ring and stick to promoting..
After the 8th round TKO, Pacman told de la Hoya ”You’re still my hero.” to which de la Hoya replied..”No, now you’re MY hero.”

Thanks for the information. But what is admirable to this game is that the players did not lose the spirit of sportsmanship.

Joan,
That was the awesome part.. This fight has been hyped up as the dream ”death” match...de la Hoya wanted revenge for Pacman going with another promoting camp, he was insulted...
In the end, the both fought hard, and left with both admiration and respect for one another...

My wife is a HUGE pacquiao fan.. I have to admit, I don’t like de la Hoya and was a bit angered by him trying to win over Mexico by using our Mexican anthem for his intro, but I didn’t think Pacman would pull thru..
Much to my wife’s delight, The Philipino King fought INCREDIBLY...She actually began to feel bad for De la Hoya for the immense beating he took..He did the right thing by pulling out when he did..The Pacman, I think would have literally retired the golden boy had they kept the fight going.
