Philippines :
The Philippines is pushing the use of alternative fuels like biodiesel from coconut, palm, and jatropha; and ethanol from cassava, sugarcane and corn to reduce its dependence on imported oil. Biodiesel capacity is good even for a 3-percent blend.

I know. We are definitely trying to stay away from foreign dependence with oil.

We have geothermal power and hydroelectric. And we are seriously into biofuels.

There’s lots of coconuts here to begin with! LOL

Ask to your government sign an agreement with Brazil, so we can transfer the ethanol technology for your country!

We have ethanol production here. But what’s lacking is raw materials. It’s a choice between food or fuel.

That’s a good idea. Although, the main concept really is for the Philippines not to be dependent on foreign fuel.

Though I hope that when the Philippines does need extra supply of ethanol that it gets from Brazil because, for sure, there will be a steady supply. ;)
