Many people prefer the warmer glow of an incandescent tungsten bulb to an eco-friendly compact fluorescent (CFL). But the pursuit of the warm glow of the traditional tungsten incandescent will soon get a lot harder.

the old must give way to the new and thats the way the inventions are accepted.
As compared to halogen bulbs, this is an innovative invention that consumes electricity, and is a recyclable product. With the use of solar power, the CFLs can be generated for street lights,by the addition of using solar panels located on the top or sides of a pole and luminaries. The total light output, of a CFLs light getting used between one fifth and one quarter of the power is as equivalent to an incandescent lamp. As according to the US Household Electricity Report stated by the official US Energy Information Administration (2005), the lighting accounted for approximately 9% of household electricity usage in the United States in 2001. That is to say by means of a widespread use of CFLs there can be a saving of maximum total energy of about 7% from household usage in the country. No doubt that it has got the potential to reduce electric consumption and so will be the pollution. These days there are various organizations that encourage the adoption of CFLs.
this makes CFLs more preferable than incandescent tungsten bulb.

Your right, Aparajita. Everyone’s got to jump on the CFL bandwagon, for the sake of all.

But, though I’ve replaced all incandescent bulbs in my house lighting a long time ago, there are nooks and crannies in my house where I miss the old warm glow.

There’s something romantically warm or aesthetically glowing with the spills of the tungsten bulb rays.

But then again who cares for romantic glows when you pay for it eventually. :)
