Fascinating article, Grace, and, for once, I am at a loss for words. I mean this is weird. I often go to England and It’s true, there are an inordinate number of people (women for the most part, or at least that’s my, admittedly unscientific, impression).

Nothing explains it from the food angle, (I visit the States often and know most European countries) because the British eat badly, yes, but not THAT much worse than the others.

The psychological angle doesn’t give much either. The British are statistically even LESS messed up than many other countries (as you saw in my article ”anyone for suicide..?”

Nope,as I said, and as the article says, there’s no rational explanation for it up to now...unless it’s all that bad quality tea they drink......
