I’m 20 years old, not planning to have kids for another 10 or so years but I do look forward to the day. As for the topic, I could understand why, I think when you realise this kid is yours, you want to do everything in your power to make sure they are ok. I remember watching Scrubs, when DrCox’s son was sick, he was over paranoid, I guess from seeing other sick people, but realising it’s his own son and then overreacting. Protective instincts I guess, but a bit of common sense and caution is important so you don’t lose it and make wrong judgments.

I’m not a parent myself but I’ve seen my sister just let her kids go on their own, with just enough support and advice on the side. And the kids are growing up level headed.

But I can imagine that it’s a lot of self-control to do that because parents can’t help but be control freaks. :)

”Children are a blessing” and ”Children are gifts from God” yeaaaaaaah riiiiiiiiight! That is usually said by folks who dont have any.

I learned humility andthe true meaning of love when I started raising children. I love them very much but they are a lot of work people; so dont rush to have them until you have a strong marriage.
