I think, the reason it was permitted is because of the impending negative reaction that people will give if she won’t be permitted to have an abortion. I believe there’s pressure there somewhere.

And yet again religion had to rear it’s ugly head.. I find it amusing that Romania, a country that is in the E.U has laws which don’t allow abortion.. Did it even have to elicit a discussion to allow an abortion to take place?

Latest in Gujarat Patan rape case is tonight’s breaking news in Gujarati media says that the victim girl has tried to commit suicide. This is a sheer failure of Govt. to provide her justice and necessary psychiatric treatment.

The rape victim girl, of course, feels the shame and pain first, then the stigma, then she is ostracized, and finally marginalized.

She wanted to end her life because she thought she’d be better dead.
